All Qoctor prescriptions are issued by an AHPRA registered doctor, who will assess the health information you have provided.

With Qoctor, there are several medication and prescription delivery options, so the way you will get your medication depends on which option you've chosen:

Medication Delivery: If you have chosen to have your medication delivered by post, the doctor will send your prescription electronically to one of our partner pharmacies based in Australia, who will then dispense and pack your order immediately (during business hours), and will mail it to you via Australia Post. Our partner pharmacies are carefully selected by us, to ensure a high quality service, and are operated by pharmacists who are fully registered and meet all Australian regulatory standards. We have pharmacies in several Australian states, to optimise delivery outcomes. Please allow for postal service delays during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pharmacy Concierge Service: If you have chosen Qoctor's Pharmacy Concierge Service (our fastest and most popular delivery option), you will have nominated your preferred local pharmacy during the booking process. Our doctor will send the prescription electronically to that pharmacy, and they will dispense your medication- this can usually happen the same day, subject to your pharmacy's opening hours.

Paper Prescription: If you have chosen a paper prescription posted to you, this will be sent via Australia Post and obviously you can take this to your local pharmacy as usual, once your receive it. Please allow for postal service delays during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What about different generics and branded drugs- are they the same?

During the booking process you may sometimes notice an option of a choosing between a "branded medication" and a cheaper generic equivalent- so, for some medications there can appear to be more than one name for the same drug (if you are confused or have any questions about this, feel free to contact our customer support team via live chat on the Qoctor home page or email [email protected])

What about delivery? How long does it take?

We and our partner pharmacies are all based in Australia, and use Australia Post to ensure optimal coverage and secure delivery right across the country. Once your order is processed, you will be provided with a tracking number via email. If you cannot find this information in your email account, you can can contact our customer support directly - for the quickest response, reach out to our team using live chat via the Qoctor home page during working hours (8.30am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sunday).

Obviously delivery/shipping times vary, depending on Australia Post services and your location. Please note that Australia Post's "next business day guarantee" for express delivery is suspended at the moment, due to COVID -19. Whilst delivery times may still be 1-2 days in metro areas, it may take longer in regional areas. To find out more about Australia Post delivery times, and how they are being affected by COVID-19 in your region, check the Australia Post website for updated state and territory specific advice here.
