Qoctor is a private online healthcare service. There is no bulk-billing available. However, we do all we can to maintain an affordable service for our patients.
Medicare generally requires that you've attended the practice in person within the last 12 months before a telehealth consult can be rebated (bulk-billed). Some online services advertise that they bulk-bill by relying on exemptions to this rule, for example for patients in declared disaster areas or very remote locations. In practice, most Australians don't fall into these exemption categories, so most people can't access bulk-billed telehealth from a provider they've never seen in person.

We recommend providing your Medicare details, particularly if your consultation may result in a prescription or pathology referral. This enables us to issue your ePrescription directly to your mobile phone and may reduce your out-of-pocket costs when filling a Qoctor prescription at the pharmacy for PBS-listed medications. Providing your Medicare details may also help reduce the cost of eligible pathology tests.
Please note, if you get a specialist referral letter from Qoctor, that will allow you to claim a Medicare rebate when you attend your specialist.
