No - skipping periods is quite safe.

If you think about it, pregnant women don’t have a period for 9 months and women who breastfeed for a long time may go a few years without periods- with no negative health effects. The contraceptive pill and long acting contraceptives can be used on an ongoing basis to stop periods, where this is suitable. However, using a course of oral progesterone to delay a period is generally only advised for up to a few weeks at a time, as progesterone related side effects tend to develop with longer term use.
